Welcome to Blogging
I don't claim to be a good writer, but I've decided to attempt my first blog. Both the blog and the reason for the blog are an experiment. I've decided to try the Paleo diet. For more information, you can click here: http://thepaleodiet.com/about I have to admit that the books and such sound too good to be true, and the whole thing sounds hyped up in a scammy sort of way. None-the-less, the theories/science behind it mesh with a lot of my thinking about what I ought to be eating. I started the diet on January 9, 2012 with the thought of trying it for at least 30 days. Although promoted more as a weight loss plan, I am in it to see if there is improvement in any of my 5 autoimmune diseases. It is extremely strict in terms of the modern day diet, and so I don't see myself sticking to it unless I see some significant improvements.
As you all know, I can't recommend you try this diet. I'm not a doctor. If you are interested in trying this, get a professional medical opinion and weigh the risks. If you want to see how I'm doing with it, check out the link below!

Paleo Diet Update: June, 2012
This diet has been a huge success for me. In fact, I've seen such an improvement, I am feeling the need to get the word out, as people may want to give it a try. FYI, no, I am not making any money here! Here are some cool things to check out:
Loren Cordain Youtube video: Cordain is an expert on what our hunter-gatherer ancestors ate for millions of years, before the advent of farming 10,000 years ago. He explains the science of the diet here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dw1MuD9EP4&feature=related
Robb Wolf Youtube video: Although his book is more informative than this video, the video gives some details to the diet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PpuIKTg6QE&feature=related
An RA Paleo success story (besides mine, but I commented): http://robbwolf.com/2012/04/23/battling-rheumatoid-arthritis-paleo-diet/
An RA Paleo success story (not mine): http://robbwolf.com/2012/05/07/medically-confirmed-rheumatoid-arthritis-remission/
An RA Paleo video on emerging success: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3Rx6WXn2pY
Please remember that I'm not a doctor. Although I have found success with this, it is something you should talk with a health care professional about before attempting.
